The Pranab Mukherjee Foundation, section 8 incorporation (“PMF”), was to empower, educate and collaborate with people and undertake charitable and educational projects that have a positive impact on our nations and to its citizens around the globe. PMF is committed to protecting the privacy and confidentiality of personal information entrusted to us and designed to help you understand generally how Pranab Mukherjee Foundation and other Foundation web properties (the “Site“) collect personally identifying information about you and how the Foundation uses and discloses that personal information. www.pranabmukherjeefoundation.org is a Web site of the Pranab Mukherjee Foundation is intended to inform you of the policies and procedures of Pranab Mukherjee Foundation (“Pranab Mukherjee Foundation”, “PMF”, “we,” or “us”) and its affiliates, a charitable trust existing under the laws of the Republic of India.

This privacy policy is applicable to all users (“User”) of the PMF website found at www.pranabmukherjeefoundation.org (the “website”), as well as the other websites developed by PMF now or in the future (“PMF Sites”) and PMF Web pages on third party sites such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and LinkedIn (“Third Party Sites,” and together with the website, and the PMF sites, (the “Sites”) and all users of the sites who provide personal identifiable information as applies to information we collect personal information (other than publicly available information) (“personal information“), we are referring to information that identifies a particular individual, such as the individual’s name, Postal address, email address and telephone numbers collected on www.pranabmukherjeefoundation.org or any additional Foundation web properties or third-party sites managed by the Pranab Mukherjee Foundation or, where indicated, other information you provide to us indentifies you in accordance with the terms of the privacy when you use our websites, mobile, sites, mobile applications and other online services that link to this privacy policy( collectively, the ”sites”) or when you otherwise interact with us operated by Pranab Mukherjee Foundation (the “Websites“).

This Privacy Policy is intended to assist you in understanding PMF’s policies and procedures relating to our management of personal information and is applicable to PMF, its successors and assigns, and any affiliates of PMF. Personal and Other Information Collected by Pranab Mukherjee Foundation

Pranab Mukherjee Foundation collects personal information that is voluntarily provided by you when you explore the Sites, use our Services (as defined in the Terms of Use), register for an Event (as defined in the Terms of Use), purchase an item from the Shop, submit comments to the Guest Forum or other areas of the Sites, or communicate with us by mail, telephone or electronically. The type of information we collect and maintain may include:

  • Your name, mailing address, and/or email address
  • For children, the name, mailing address and/or email address of a parent or legal guardian
  • Telephone number
  • Gender
  • Date of birth
  • Forum/Guestbook communications and photos
  • Complaints you may have about the Sites and any of their content and offerings.

This type of information is collected, used and disclosed in accordance with the form of consent required by applicable law and its use is limited to the objectives for which it was collected, as described in this Privacy Policy.

We may also obtain information from other sources and combine that with information we collect through our Sites. For example if you create or log into your account through a social media site, we will have access to certain information from that site, such as your name, account information and friends lists, in accordance with the authorization procedures determined by such social media sites.

In addition to their name, title, and email address, partners working with Pranab Mukherjee Foundation are also required to provide us with their organization’s name, type, mission, budget, and contact information, facilitate customer service requests and inform clients of important changes to our program. From time to time, Pranab Mukherjee Foundation receives Personal Information about you via offline sources like telephone or fax. We may use this in combination with information collected online in order to improve the Services.

8. Data you submit about “others” or “third parties”.

If you choose to refer a NGO or any entity to us, you will provide information about such third party through the Services, such as the third party’s name and email address. If the third party registers with us, such third party will become a user of the Services and subject to the terms and conditions of this Privacy Policy. If the third party does not register for the Services, we may retain information about such third party and will protect any Personal Information provided in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

9. Information we collect via technology

When you access any part of our Websites, our web server software automatically logs information provided by your network connection and web browser software, including the Internet Protocol (IP) address of your network connection and the type of web browser and operating system that you are using. Our web server may also log the URL of the file that you are requesting, the current date and time, and the URL of the last web page requested by your web browser.

We may utilize cookies on our Websites to store your login information (if any) and your personal preferences for the Services. We may use both session cookies (which expire once you close your browser) and persistent cookies (which stay on your computer until you delete them).

We may utilize Godaddy or other Analytics, a web analytics service provided by GoDaddy co. The Analytics uses cookies to gather information relating to the usage of our websites. The information generated by cookies (including IP addresses) is transmitted to and stored on servers. This information may then be analyzed and compiled into reports on website activity. They may also transfer this information to third parties where required to do so by law, or where said third parties process the information on their behalf. we will not associate any data gathered from our Websites with any other data held by Godaddy and other analytics.

You have the option of disabling or not accepting cookies by changing the preferences in your web browser. If you opt to disable cookies, you will still be able to access our Websites, but you may not be able to use certain features of the websites.

10. Use of information we collect

In general, we use Personal Information you submit to us to provide the Services to you, respond to requests you make, improve the Services, and offer you additional information, opportunities, and functionality. We may also use your Personal Information to provide you with updates about the Services. None of the Personal Information we collect will be shared with third parties without your express authorization.

If you provide feedback to us, we may use and disclose such feedback for any purpose, provided we will not associate such feedback with your Personal Information. If you do not wish to receive these announcements, you have the option to cancel your organization’s Pranab Mukherjee Foundation membership or remove yourself as a contact for your organization’s Pranab Mukherjee Foundation membership. We will not have any liability whatsoever to you for any termination of your Account or related deletion of your information.

Note that in some cases, you may request that we delete your Personal Information, but we may be required (by law or otherwise) to keep this information and not delete it (or to keep this information for a certain time, in which case we will comply with your request only after we have fulfilled such requirements). When we delete information that we have collected from or about you, it will be deleted from our active databases but may remain in our archives.

We may share Anonymous Information with our partners, sponsors, and donors. For example, we may share Anonymous Information about individual organizations where it is necessary to secure funding to ensure the continued availability of our services or to develop outreach programs with our partners.
