Research & Consultation

The Foundation is building strong partnerships to undertake research and education in the universities to improve higher education in India. The foundation has collaborated with several reputed institutions of higher learning to achieve the stated goal. These institutions include O.P. Jindal Global University, Swami Rama Himalayan University, University of Engineering and Management, Centre for Research in Rural and Industrial Development and Azim Premji University.

The following research projects and seminars are being undertaken by the Foundation, in order to take forward the ideals and legacy of Shri Pranab Mukherjee. We are working on following project areas under the guidance of our erudite advisors:

  1. Evolution of Constitutional Amendments

    To study and assess the evolution of these institutions, evaluate the criticisms and the pros and cons of the institutions, the impact of technology on the institutions and to bring out a holistic view of the current standing of the institutions.

  2. Climate Change

    To invoke serious debates and discussions on climate change, not only at the level of experts, academicians and policy-makers but also the common citizenry.

  3. Delimitation of Constituencies

    Exploring the need for delimitation of constituencies, which is rooted in Article 82 of the Constitution of India which mandates readjustment of constituencies after each census.

  4. Evolution of Socio-Economic Values

    Aim at exploring, locating and mapping the patterns in the evolution of socio-economic rights in India, especially with a view to facilitating consistent evolution in the areas of contested socio-economic claims.

  5. Critical Thinking in Higher Education

    Exploring the Indian higher education system to study to what extent critical thinking abilities are encouraged and inculcated in higher education institutions conducting sessions with Universities.

  6. Women Reservation Bill

    To deal directly with the idea and ideals of a democratic state (in this case - India). Right to Reservation that could be accorded under the Women’s Reservation Bill.

  7. Happiness Seminars

    We have collaborated with the Centre for Research in Rural and Industrial Development (CRRID) to conduct Happiness Seminars. Under the banner of the theme “Peace, Harmony and Happiness”, four seminars are conducted so far in New Delhi, Dehradun, Chandigarh and Hyderabad.
